Mangaung police seeks assistance

MANGAUNG – Police are requesting Ratshoeu Mogale to come forward with information regarding an ongoing assault case.

On Sunday, 10 July 2022, it is alleged by the complainant that she was home when a disagreement arose between her and her boyfriend and it ended with the boyfriend assaulting her. She reported the matter to the police and a case of assault was opened. Detectives tried to locate the boyfriend but failed.

It is believed that Ratshoeu Mogale might know the whereabouts of the wanted boyfriend. Anyone who have seen him or know his whereabouts, is kindly requested to contact their nearest police station or the investigating officer Detective Khahliso Blom on the following number 051 406 4401/2 or 082 527 6099.

Another dagga bust in Ficksburg

FICKSBURG – The Welkom Public Order Police have arrested yet another suspect for dealing in dagga in Meqheleng near Ficksburg after community tip-off on Tuesday, 06 September 2022 at about 20:30. It was also discovered that the dagga is sold in bulk at night.

The team spotted the house in question and kept observation and transactions were exchanged near the suspect’s gate. The members acted swiftly immediately whilst the deal was in progress. They followed the suspect in his house and in one of the bedrooms, they found dagga wrapped in black plastic bags, estimated at R25 000-00 in street value.

The 28-year-old man was arrested and charged to appear before the Ficksburg Magistrate court on Thursday, 08 September 2022.

Missing person sought by Newcastle police

DURBAN – Newcastle police is appealing to members of the community for assistance with regards to locating a missing person. Sandie Cynthia Mtshali (61) who resides at Arbor Park in Newcastle, was last seen on 5 September 2022. Her vehicle was later found abandoned in a ditch at Ingogo.

We appeal to anyone with information of her whereabouts to contact Detective Sergeant S.P Mngomezulu 072 133 3910 / 034 314 6207 or Crime stop on 08600 10111.

POP members continue to squeeze the space to zero for drug dealers in Kutloanong

ODENDAALSRUS – Members of Welkom Public Order Policing (POP) received information suspected drug dealing in Kutloanong. On 07 September 2022, members followed up on the information and a house in Block 5 was approached where 24 sachets of Crystal Meth and cash were seized. A 42-year-old man was arrested for dealing in drugs.

Another house in K10 Section of Kutloanong was approached, 12 full Mandrax tablets, 04 Crystal Meth sachets were found and seized. A 43-year-old man was arrested for possession of drugs.

Members went to a house in K1 Section in Kutloanong, 95 pokes of dagga and cash were seized. A 30-year-old woman was arrested for dealing with dagga. The three suspects will appear soon in Odendaalsrus Magistrate Court.
