Acting Police Minister to Welcome Over 3,000 Newly Trained Constables into SAPS Ranks

Tshwane: Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia, along with Deputy Ministers Dr. Polly Boshielo and Mr. Cassel Mathale, is set to welcome 3,558 newly trained constables into the South African Police Service (SAPS) on Friday. This significant event marks a major step in SAPS's ongoing efforts to strengthen its capabilities.

According to South African Government News Agency, SAPS National Commissioner, General Fannie Masemola, will also be present as Cachalia presides over the largest parade, featuring 2,036 graduates at the SAPS Academy in Tshwane, Gauteng. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance crime-fighting measures at the community level.

The passing out parades are scheduled to occur simultaneously starting at 9 am on Friday, with the focal event at the SAPS Academy in Tshwane. The SAPS emphasized that this initiative is aimed at reinforcing crime combatting efforts across the nation.
