AGU Strikes Again: Suspicious Vehicle Leads to Arrest of a 31-Year-Old in Eldorado Park


Eldorado Park: In a significant operation early Saturday morning, 5 April 2025, members of the Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) made an arrest while conducting patrols and executing stop-and-search duties in Eldorado Park. At approximately 01H30, AGU members stopped a suspicious red Pallivion vehicle on Milnerton Street at the corner of Barrydale Road.



According to South African Police Service, upon introducing themselves, the AGU team requested permission to search the driver, a 31-year-old male, who consented to the search. During the search, the AGU team discovered sixteen unlicensed live ammunition rounds and one magazine.



Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was reported as hijacked at Booysens SAPS.



The suspect was promptly informed of his arrest for possession of unlicensed live ammunition and possession of a hijacked motor vehicle. He has been detained at a local police station and is set to appear in court soon. The recovered vehicle will be utilized for further investigation as the AGU continues its efforts to combat crime and ensure community safety.
