Windhoek: Air Connect Namibia has announced an additional third daily flight between Johannesburg and Windhoek , set to begin on 27 October 2024 . This service , operated by South African Airways ( SAA ) with its A320 fleet , is aimed at meeting the growing demand for air travel in the region . The new frequency will offer increased travel options and flexibility for both business and leisure travellers . Air Connect Namibia Chairperson and CEO of the Namibia Airports Company , Bisey / Uirab , in a statement issued on Tuesday stated that the new flight route reflects the growing demand for connectivity between the well – established Johannesburg and Windhoek routes , thereby supporting tourism , business collaborations , and cultural exchange . With this increased frequency , tourists will have more freedom in organising their trips , making it simpler to discover the natural beauty , rich legacy , and different offerings of both places and countries , he said .
