Gamalakhe Township: The Deputy President of South Africa, Paul Mashatile, is set to deliver a keynote address at the national World TB Day commemorative event on Monday, 24 March 2025. The event will also mark the launch of the National End TB Campaign, taking place at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre in Gamalakhe Township, KwaZulu-Natal.
According to South African Government News Agency, the week will see significant governmental activities, including South Africa’s leadership role in the Group of Twenty (G20) Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group on Tuesday, 25 March. The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Dr. Dion George, will spearhead this initiative as part of South Africa’s Presidency of the G20.
Following this, South Africa will host the second G20 Health Working Group Meeting in KwaZulu-Natal from 26-28 March. This will be an important gathering, continuing the dialogue on global health issues and strategies.
Additionally, the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition is offering a Basic Sewing Training Programme in Mthatha, Eastern Cape. This program, which has been running since 17 March, will conclude on 28 March, providing essential skills to participants.
As for Friday, 28 March, there are currently no confirmed government activities scheduled.
