Foetus found in dustbin at Ondangwa


OSHAKATI: A case of birth concealment is being investigated by the Namibian Police Force ( NamPol ) in the Oshana Region after an unknown woman allegedly dumped a foetus in a dustbin at Ondangwa . NamPol ‘ s Oshana crime investigations coordinator , Deputy Commissioner Frederick Ndjadila , said the discovery was made on Friday morning . ‘ It is alleged that a body of a small baby ( foetus ), estimated to be of a four or five month pregnancy , was found in a dustbin nearby a complex in Ondangwa ,’ he said . Ndjadila stated that the body was found by community members who were collecting refuse . The body was transported to the Oshakati mortuary . Police investigations into the matter continue
