Pretoria: The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), General Fannie Masemola, has announced that Lieutenant General Dumisani Khumalo, the Divisional Commissioner for Crime Intelligence, is receiving the best medical care following a health issue experienced earlier today. Khumalo fell ill upon his arrival at the Brigitte Mabandla Justice College, where he was scheduled to provide testimony.
According to South African Government News Agency, the South African Police Service released a statement indicating that General Khumalo became unwell shortly after arriving at the Justice College. Subsequently, he received immediate medical attention. General Masemola is maintaining regular contact with Khumalo and reports that he is in good spirits while adhering to his doctor’s medical advice.
The statement further reassured that Khumalo’s health is being prioritized and that the Madlanga Commission will be updated regarding his condition and his availability to resume testimony. The updates will ensure all parties are informed about when Khumalo can continue his duties.
