Giyani Police Seek Public Assistance in Solving 27-Year-Old’s Murder


Giyani: The members of Giyani police station in Mopani District are investigating a murder case involving a 27-year-old male victim following his mysterious death at Maswanganyi village on Friday, 21 March 2025. The Police were summoned at the scene following the reported incident and upon arrival, they found the victim lying on the street wearing a black trouser, white T-shirt with a black jacket and navy blue tekkies.



According to South African Police Service, a family member of the deceased was asleep at Mapuve village when he was informed that his nephew was allegedly murdered at Maswanganyi village and rushed to the scene. Upon arrival at the scene, he found a 27-year-old victim with open wounds on the upper body and a mini bag containing cigarettes, two wheel spanner, alcoholic beverage with one spotlight next to him.



The victim was subsequently declared dead upon arrival of the members of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and post-mortem analysis will be conducted to determine his cause of death. The deceased, Clive Chabalala, a resident at Homu 14 A village, was positively identified at the scene.
