Johannesburg: International media delegates and guests have praised South Africa's hosting of the G20 Summit, highlighting the country's hospitality, organization, and an outstanding media experience that many described as among the best they have ever encountered. The summit, held at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg, showcased South Africa's ability to host global events with precision.

According to South African Government News Agency, journalists and researchers reflected on a summit that not only delivered diplomatically but also demonstrated South Africa's capacity to host large-scale global events effectively. Thousands of journalists, researchers, and communication specialists gathered at the purpose-built media hub, which was prepared with meticulous detail, extensive facilities, and round-the-clock support.

The seamless logistics and welcoming atmosphere of the media centre were particularly praised. Ching Yi Chang from the Shanghai Media Group in China, attending his sixth G20, remarked on the exceptional facilities and hospitality, noting, "People [are] very welcoming. The atmosphere and people [are] very nice. All the facilities in the media center and everything is just perfect."

Canada's G20 Research Group, based at the University of Toronto, also commended South Africa's hosting. Researcher Irene Wu shared her positive experience, emphasizing the inclusiveness and organization of the summit. She was impressed by the efficiency and accessibility of the media centre, comparing it favorably to previous summits she attended.

Mahek Kaur, a co-chair of Summit Studies at the G20 Research Group, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the well-organized media briefings and the warm hospitality of the South African people. She noted the success of the summit's early adoption of the leaders' declaration as a testament to South Africa's effective presidency.

US-based SABC correspondent Sherwin Bryce-Pease expressed pride in covering the G20 in his home country, describing it as a historic milestone and a reflection of Africa's growing influence. He praised South Africa's proficiency in organizing major events, drawing parallels with the country's previous hosting of the World Cup and Rugby World Cup.

Across interviews, a consistent theme emerged: South Africa's G20 media centre was not only functional but exemplary. Delegates described it as welcoming, efficient, well-staffed, and thoughtfully designed, making it one of the best media environments they have experienced at any global summit. For many who traveled to Johannesburg, it wasn't just the summit they will remember but the warmth, food, energy, and generosity that made South Africa's G20 experience unforgettable.
