Lady Frere: Swift action to information received by members of Crime Intelligence, Detectives and Vispol members of Lady Frere, in a stock theft case, reported on 29 January 2019 resulted in the recovery of 11 sheep valued at R11 000.00 and the recovery of an unlicensed revolver and ammunition as well as a bullet resistant vest belonging to a security company. The stock theft took place in the Trust Location.
Members set up a vehicle check point at Lady Frere and stopped a Toyota Fortuner.
The suspect aged 46 faces various charges including possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, possession of stolen livestock and possession of stolen property. He is due to appear before Lady Frere Magistrate’s Court early next week.
