Khuma murder accused to remain in custody

A 57-year-old Moses Bongani Zulu was remanded in custody upon appearance in the Stilfontein Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 26 August 2024, for murder.

Zulu is expected to re-appear before the same court on Monday, 2 September 2024, for a formal bail application.

Reports suggests that Zulu allegedly stabbed a traditional healer, Koketso Peterson (34) with a sharp instrument on Sunday morning, 25 August 2024, at Peterson’s house in Khuma. Peterson was allegedly leading a traditional healing school, where Zulu’s girlfriend was a student. Following the incident, Peterson was rushed to a nearby clinic where he was declared dead shortly after the incident.
