Pretoria:The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed that Lieutenant General Shadrack Sibiya's employment with the Service has been terminated, effective from Monday, 12 October 2026.
According to South African Government News Agency, Lieutenant General Sibiya tendered his resignation through his legal representative immediately after the commencement of a disciplinary hearing against him earlier today.
SAPS has stated that due to the ongoing disciplinary case at the time of his resignation, Lieutenant General Sibiya's exit is considered a dishonourable discharge.
