First 31 beneficiaries In Zwelihle, Hermanus to receive homes from Minister Simmers
Tomorrow, 1 March 2022, Western Cape Minister of Human Settlements Tertuis Simmers, will hand over the first 31 houses to deserving and qualifying beneficiaries in Zwelihle, Hermanus.
This Swartdam Road site C1 project, which forms part of the Integrated Residential Development Programme (IRDP) will yield 150 top structures. Construction commenced in February 2021 with an allocated budget of just over R 20 million. Full completion of the project is expected within the next few weeks.
Minister Simmers said: “We’re presented with yet another opportunity to significantly change the lives of our people. This is an opportunity that excites me, and I am looking forward to sharing in the joy of these residents.”
