Media Invitation: Inspection of Safer Festive Season operations to get underway in Limpopo

The first day of the Festive Season Inspection Roadshow to kick-off in Limpopo.
Deputy Minister of Police, Cassel Mathale will on Monday, 05 December 2022, lead the annual Festive Season Inspection Roadshow in the Limpopo province.
The visit forms part of efforts by the South African Police Service, to channel resources to areas where they are most needed.
This will enable the police to decisively deal with crime and any security threats this holiday season and beyond.
Under the theme, “More boots on the ground towards enhanced police visibility.” the Ministry together with the SAPS management team from national and the province, led by the National Commissioner of the SAPS, Fannie Masemola, Provincial and Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General, Thembi Hadebe, will assess the effectiveness of the SAPS’s Safer Festive Season operational plans put in place, to ensure the well-being and safety of all residents and tourists in the country, during the holiday period.
The Limpopo leg of the Roadshow will include visits to centres of entertainment and business, taxi ranks, multi-disciplinary roadblocks and engagements with GBV activists and leaders of the religious fraternity.
Members of the media are invited to attend the Roadshow.
