Minister Ndabeni Appointed Acting Health Minister

Pretoria: President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Small Business Development Minister Stella Ndabeni as Acting Minister of Health. The appointment is set to take effect from Monday, 24 September 2026, and will last until 30 September 2026.

According to South African Government News Agency, the appointment was made under section 98 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa of 1996. Minister Ndabeni will assume all responsibilities and duties of the Minister of Health during this period, as Minister Motsoaledi is currently on sick leave. The Presidency released a brief statement confirming this temporary arrangement.
