Minister Ramokgopa to Deliver Keynote at NYDA Annual Indaba

Johannesburg:Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Maropene Ramokgopa, is set to deliver the keynote address at the second Annual Youth Investment Indaba. The event, organized by the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), aims to address youth economic empowerment.

According to South African Government News Agency, the Minister's address on Friday will highlight the government's commitment to accelerating youth economic empowerment, fostering inclusive economic growth, and establishing strategic partnerships to create sustainable economic opportunities for young people.

The Indaba is positioned as a strategic platform that gathers representatives from government, development finance institutions, the private sector, organized business, skills development institutions, and other key stakeholders. The goal is to devise practical solutions to increase youth participation in South Africa's economy. This year's event will focus on mobilizing investment, supporting youth-owned enterprises, enhancing access to economic value chains, and addressing structural barriers that hinder effective youth economic participation.

The Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation emphasized the significance of integrating youth development priorities into national frameworks through the Medium-Term Development Plan. The Minister's speech is anticipated to stress coordinated action across government and its social partners to translate policy commitments into measurable outcomes, enhance accountability, and ensure that young people benefit from South Africa's economic transformation.

The Indaba will commence at 9 am in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
