Nation United Against All External, Internal Threats: President


Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has reaffirmed the national pledge to stand united against any external and internal threat. Addressing Pakistan Day Parade at Aiwan-e Sadr, Islamabad, he emphasized the unwavering resolve of the Pakistani people in standing alongside the armed forces to protect the nation.



According to Radio Pakistan, the President highlighted the persistent ill-will harbored by India towards Pakistan and the threats posed by Khawarij and other terrorist outfits. Despite these challenges, he assured that such elements would not succeed, as both the nation and armed forces are prepared to counter these threats.



President Zardari spoke about the ongoing efforts to rebuild the nation with courage and determination, focusing on strengthening the economy and agriculture. He urged for political unity, calling for setting aside differences to work towards a powerful, prosperous, and developed Pakistan.



Emphasizing the importance of youth, he stressed the need for equipping them with research-based education and the latest technological training, considering them an asset to the nation.



In terms of foreign policy, President Zardari stated that Pakistan’s approach is rooted in principles of peace and stability, aspiring for strong, mutually respectful, and prosperous ties with neighboring and international communities.



The President commemorated the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for the country and expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He urged the international community to implement UN Security Council resolutions to resolve the Kashmir dispute.



Expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine, he called upon the international community to take decisive action to stop the genocide of innocent Palestinians, advocating for their right to live in freedom and dignity without external interference.
