Over the course of three days, athletes from five different nations competed fiercely for the continental titles. Nigeria triumphed over Egypt in the women's championship, while Egypt narrowly defeated Nigeria in the men's category. In the youth competition, Nigeria's team overcame Ghana, securing the youth title. South Africa claimed bronze in both the men's and youth categories, while the host nation, Kenya, took bronze in the women's competition.
The championship also served as a platform for the further development of flag football and American football in Africa.
