QONCE – The Cambridge task team led by Warrant Officer Victor Yekani arrested four suspects aged between 23 and 40 years of age yesterday and recovered 8 plasma TV sets with a value of R60 000-00. This is after a warehouse was robbed by four armed men in Vincent, East London on Saturday, 10 December 2022.
The team followed up information and spotted a VW polo in the East London CBD yesterday and questioned the driver who led them to Mdantsane where these items were recovered of which some had already been sold and more suspects arrested. The polo which was a rental car was confiscated as well the Toyota Avanza which was used during the robbery.
All detained suspects will appear before the East London magistrates court tomorrow facing a charge of business robbery.
