DURBAN – On 21 October 2022, an operation was put in place by Thornville Detectives and Magma Security after information was received regarding suspects that were sought for a house robbery.
The information led the team to Richmond where four suspects were traced and arrested. A search was conducted and three riffles, seven cellphones, liquor worth R7 000-00, bank cards, a rifle safe, clothing and a vehicle that was used in the robbery was seized by police. Four suspects aged between 20 to 42 were arrested for robbery and are appearing before the Pietermaritzburg Magistrates Court today.
It is alleged that on 15 October 2022, the complainant was at his farm with his family in Thornville when they were robbed by six men. The house was ransacked and the suspects stole a safe with rifles, cash and bank cards. A case of house robbery was opened at Thornville SAPS.
