SAPS seeks assistance in tracing missing person

EASTERN CAPE – The Mount Fletcher Detectives is seeking the community’s assistance in the tracing of Mr Steven Hoffman (42) who was reported missing by his family on the 10 December 2021.

It is alleged that Mr Steven Hoffman is residing at Isolomzi locality Mount Fletcher and was last seen on Sunday, 05 December 2021 at about 13:00, when he left his homestead.

On the same day at about 17:00, his son phoned him to ask his whereabouts and he told him that he was at Tsolobeng locality Mount Fletcher. The missing person’s wife called him at about 18:00 on the same day and he told her that he was at Mbizeni farm in Mount Fletcher that was the last time anybody heard from him.

Relatives from Tsolobeng and Mbizeni were asked as to whether they saw him or not on the times he said he was at these two locations, it transpired that nobody had seen him and that was when the SAPS was alerted.

The SAPS started with the investigation together with the Mthatha dog unit starting from Tsolobeng, Zxelitsha Makhuleng and Khalatsu locality and further went to Mbizeni farm where he use to work and its surroundings, but could not find him. This person is known to suffer from epileptic seizures.
