Sasolburg: A 30-year-old suspect has been arrested for possession of suspected stolen property in Sasolburg.
According to South African Police Service, the arrest took place early on Thursday, 13 March 2025, at approximately 01:00. The Fezile Dabi District Infrastructure Task Team and Highway Patrol were providing backup to a local security company in the Wonderfontein area when they discovered an abandoned Nissan NP200 loaded with stolen property.
The police reported that upon their arrival, three suspects fled the scene on foot into the veld. Law enforcement officials gave chase and successfully apprehended one suspect near a truck filling station in Wonderfontein. The vehicle and stolen property were subsequently confiscated.
The arrested suspect is scheduled to appear before the Sasolburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 17 March 2025.
