Johannesburg: Tributes have been flowing in for the legendary actress Nandi Nyembe, affectionately known as Mam' Nandi, following her passing on Saturday, 23 August 2025, at the age of 75. The Gauteng Provincial Legislature's Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation (SACR) has been among those paying their respects to the revered actress.
According to South African Government News Agency, Mam' Nandi was not just a talented actress but also a cultural torchbearer whose work mirrored the resilience, struggles, and triumphs of South Africans.
