EASTERN CAPE – Tsomo Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide. It is alleged that two (02) vehicles collided with a truck along R61 road near Forty junction, Tsomo on Thursday, 09 January 2020 at about 14:30.
Unfortunately two (02) women both aged 66 were fatally wounded at the scene. Five (05) other occupants of the three (03) vehicles were seriously injured. They were all rushed to Cofimvaba hospital. No one passed away from the truck.
The cause of the accident is not known currently but under the investigation by Tsomo Police Detectives. The identities of both deceased are still being withheld until their next of kin are officially informed of their deaths.
Acting Eastern Cape Police Provincial Commissioner, Major General Andries Swart conveyed his condolences to both families of the deceased as he wished the injured a speedy recovery.
