Two men were arrested over the weekend in Karibib over the alleged murder of 44-year-old Werner Tjipanga during the early hours of Saturday.
It is alleged that a fight that resulted in the death of Tjipanga broke out between him and the suspects at the residence of one of the suspects.
It was however not clear what caused the fight. All three men were employees of the G4S security company at Karibib.
According to a crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force’s Erongo Community Affairs Commander, Inspector Ileni Shapumba, the incident occurred between 04h00 and 06h00 at the Harambee residential area.
The two suspects, aged 29 and 39 years, were arrested and are expected to appear before court at Karibib during the week.
The deceased’s body was taken to Karibib clinic for further handling and for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
His next of kin have been informed of his death.
Police investigations continue.
