North West Department of Public Works and Roads hosts Provincial Summit on Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP)

The North West Department of Public Works and Roads will host the Provincial Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) Summit on the 22 and 23 June 2023. This summit convenes a few months before the start of Phase 5 of the Programme.

The two-day summit will convene under the theme “Fostering collaborations and partnerships for successful implementation of the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP)”. Best performing institutions will receive awards for the implementation of the Programme, and EPWP participants will be given an opportunity to give testimonies on the impact of the programme in their lives.

National and Provincial Government structures, including District and Local Municipalities; and various stakeholders that implement EPWP will share their experiences, ideas, challenges and successes in the implementation of the programme.

The objectives of the summit are among others:

To Provide feedback on the consultations, planning and finalisation of the EPWP Phase 4

To report progress and best practices on the implementation of phase targets

To further educate public bodies about the EPWP recruitment guidelines

Day one (1): EPWP Awards Ceremony

Date: 22 June 2023

Venue: The Pearl, Klerksdorp

Time: 17h00 for 18h00

NB: Registration opens 16h30 and guest to be seated by 18h00

Day two (2): EPWP Summit official programme

Date: 23 June 2023

Venue: The Pearl, Klerksdorp

Time: 09h00

NB: The registration will start at 07h30 and guests are to be seated by 08h30
