Two Male Suspects Arrested in Polokwane for Possession of R150,000 Worth of Crystal-Meth

Polokwane: Two male suspects aged 34 were apprehended at a filling station in Penina Park outside Polokwane by the members of the Provincial Organised Crime Unit on Saturday, 06 September 2025, at about 07:30.

According to South African Police Service, the police received information about two male suspects who were intending to deliver illicit drugs at the filling station and immediately commenced with their manhunt in the area. The suspects were positively identified while driving a motor vehicle that was subsequently stopped by the authorities.

During the search, a maroon bag was discovered concealed under the driver's seat containing 13 transparent packets of Crystal-Meth drugs. The drugs have an estimated street value of one hundred and fifty thousand rands (R150,000).

The suspects were immediately placed under arrest and are scheduled to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate's Court on Monday, 08 September 2025, to face charges of dealing and possession of drugs. Police investigations are continuing.
